- Help me cheer up my fish
I recently got my first oscar. He or we assume he's a he) is a tiger oscar, and hes only a baby, so of course very small. I knew already that he would probably sulk when brought home. he's in a 55G tank, and the temp. pretty consistently 78 Degrees F. Hes by himself except for a yabbie lobster. However it's been two weeks, and he still does not patrol the tank or seem very active at all. I've been feeding him, but he doesnt seem very interested in food. He wont go after flakes, he waits til they float to the bottom, and eats a little bit here and there. He lies on his side, and has picked out hiding spots in the tank, that he doesn't leave if you're watching. I was just wondering if it was normal for an oscar to sulk for this long and any suggestions on how to get him more active would be appreciated.
Thanks
